The S2G team is growing! We’re seeking a Marketplace Growth Manager for our US Sales team!
Scope:
The Marketplace Growth Manager is a high-impact, high-visibility role central to Solutions 2 GO’s marketplace and ecommerce operations across the U.S. and Canada. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, with responsibility for developing the tools, processes, and partnerships needed to drive scalable marketplace growth, while overseeing day-to-day performance across key channels. This is a highly cross-functional, customer- and vendor-facing role, serving as a primary point of contact for negotiations related to pricing, terms, and commercial agreements. The Marketplace Growth Manager also acts as an internal subject matter expert on marketplace operations and plays a key role in building and strengthening Solutions 2 GO’s overall marketplace capabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Marketplace Operations & Listings Management
- Own end-to-end product setup and listing execution across US and Canadian marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and others)
- Lead onboarding and integration of new vendors, products, and marketplace channel
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of all listing content, including titles, images, product attributes, shipping data, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor listing health, suppressed listings, and policy compliance; proactively resolve issues impacting performance or visibility
- Partner with vendors to collect and manage complete product data sets (pricing, dimensions, identifiers, imagery, compliance details)
- Coordinate fulfillment setup with internal Operations teams based on channel requirements
Vendor & Customer Management
- Serve as a key point of contact for marketplace vendors and platform partners across North America
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, promotional placements, and partnership agreements
- Conduct regular business reviews with vendors, communicating performance insights, risks, and growth opportunities
- Identify and execute vendor monetization opportunities (e.g., advertising programs, promotions, value-added services)
- Manage commercial processes such as price protection, MDF, and account-specific agreements in collaboration with Finance
- Maintain active relationships with marketplace platforms, ensuring strong account health and program participation
Strategy & Business Development
- Support execution of marketplace strategy across all channels, translating strategic priorities into actionable plans
- Identify and evaluate growth opportunities by channel, category, and vendor; drive implementation of approved initiatives
- Contribute to pricing and promotional strategy, balancing growth, profitability, and competitiveness
- Support assortment strategy decisions (what to carry, where, and why), with input on margin, brand, and customer experience considerations
- Monitor marketplace trends, competitor activity, and platform changes to inform strategic direction
Tools, Processes & Analytics
- Build and document scalable workflows, SOPs, and operational tools to support marketplace growth
- Track and report on core KPIs including revenue, sell-through, listing health, account performance, and fulfillment metrics
- Develop and maintain pricing and margin models that account for marketplace fees, logistics, and profitability targets
- Analyze performance data to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement across listings, pricing, and operations
- Own recurring reporting, including weekly performance updates and forecast alignment by channel and product line
- Provide actionable insights to support inventory planning and purchasing decisions
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for marketplace operations, systems, and best practices
- Collaborate closely with Vendor Services, Finance, Operations, IT, Sales, and Customer Support
- Represent the Marketplace team in cross-functional meetings, escalating risks, decisions, and opportunities as needed
- Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the business
- Participate in trade shows, partner meetings, and industry events as required
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, marketplace operations, or digital account management
- Hands-on experience managing listings and catalogs on major marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, or similar)
- Experience with marketplace management platforms; Rithum strongly preferred
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements, pricing, or vendor partnerships
- Experience in consumer electronics distribution, ecommerce, or marketplace environments is an asset
- Strong financial and commercial acumen (pricing, margin, profitability analysis)
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools a plus
- Working knowledge of marketplace compliance, content standards, and fulfillment models
- Experience using CRM systems for account tracking and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Builder mindset; thrives in 0→1 environments and ambiguity
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in vendor and customer settings
- Self-directed, resourceful, and highly accountable for outcomes
- Comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
- High urgency and execution focus
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel periodically to offices, fulfillment centers, and partner locations
